DESCRIPTION
Cloud Computing technology is changing the flexibility of information technology services, their quality and related costs, allowing companies to focus on the core business by reducing investments in hardware and software and operating costs related to infrastructure management. This model of virtualization and use of “pay per use” services is gradually expanding also in the management of applications, services, processes and security. This further step that goes beyond the classic IT outsourcing models is necessary to accompany companies towards the Cloud, where the company’s IT infrastructures are no longer resident in their own datacenters or third-party datacenters in occupied spaces empty for full, but in the Cloud providers such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace or others. This type of new ICT operator that stands between the cloud provider and the end customer takes the name of Managed Service Provider (MSP), which offers its services to manage the company’s cloud infrastructures, applications and services in a ” pay per use” as well as application and evolutionary support in terms of software development in cloud environments (Cloud Development Center). Dauvea, on the basis of the know-how acquired by the corporate structure over the last 20 years in the management and development of distributed IT infrastructures, at an international level, in line with the trends that are emerging in North America and Northern Europe, wants to create an MSP in Sardinia, to provide operation and software development services to public administrations and Italian and foreign companies and to accompany companies in the transition of their processes/applications/assets to the Cloud
